It’s A Wonderful Town

Hello lovelies, I’m in New York and it’s 12.46AM, also known as 5.46AM in the good ol’ UK and extreme delirium has set in. I’ve had far too much to drink tonight but just wanted to say HELLO! Thank you for your kind comments on the last entry; I really didn’t want to post something so blue but it’s always such a relief to be honest because once you turn these eelings into words they always feel so much easier to sort out. And a change of scenery has been bloody marvellous too!

ANYWAY, whoa. Too much delicious, rosy red wine tonight! I’ve been blogging about our day at WNP and hope to keep doing so during the trip instead of taking six months to write Wot I Did On Me Hols, dodgy wifi connection pending. Hope you are doing fine and dandy! 🙂

  1. Hi Shauna Babe, sounds like you’re having a whale of a time in New York (you lucky girl). It’s one of the places P & I want to get to before we move to the Outer Hebrides and can’t afford to go anywhere ever again. Enjoy the rest of your stay. lol M x x
ps. I’m now counting the days till I can buy your book (66), take care x

  2. Welcome back to the States! Hope you have a rockin’ good time. Sounds like it’s off to a great start. Take care and be safe.

  3. NY is on my must see list. I’m green with envy Miss Shauna. While I’ve got you, congrats on the book, it looks wonderful and I’ll be looking out for it in the stores in Feb. What a life your leading now! Who woulda thunk it 7 years ago. 🙂
Go get em Tiger. NJ xx

  4. I wish I was close enough to NY to drink too much with you. Oh well, I’ll do it long distance and lift a glass to/with you. Have a wonderful time on your trip!

  5. Hi Shauna – Sounds like you are enjoying NYC – good for you. Don’t forget the falafel. So, not to sound like a cyber-stalker or anything or anything, but just wanted to tell you that you and this blog were the only things that kept me from having a total binge the other day. I have returned home to NJ for a couple of weeks to see family and despite having worked my ass off for the past few months at the gym, I have not lost much weight. Since being home, I haven’t quite gotten the reaction I had hoped (and even had my eyebrow waxing lady ask me if I was pregnant!) I was so bummed that all I wanted to do was lose myself in a vat of chocolate brownie batter. But I remembered one of your posts about weight loss being like wallpaper removal and it kept me motivated enough to eat a veg and grilled chicken wrap w/ dressing on the side instead of brownies, donuts, and french fries. Even though you are no longer dieting, your experiences and your every day ups and downs with staying healthy helps me feel less alone and feel motivated to continue despite the lack of major immediate results. Thanks!

  6. Enjoy New York! Can’t wait to read about all the fun things you and Gareth did. Also loved the “good feelings” post. No hills where I live, thank goodness. I’d have to give up biking altogether if there were!

  7. Watch out for the Gremlins singing NEW YORK NEW YORK! Dont feed yourself after midnight… you might turn into one too! hehehehe. 🙂

  8. Have a GREAT time in New York ! I’ll be there myself in less than week … sorry Ill miss the opportunity to meet you. Someday !!
