Early Show update!
January 16, 2009
Hellooooo! I hope that DVRs are easier to reprogram than VCRs used to be, as my Early Show thingo has been postponed until next Wednesday 21st January, due to the Plane in the River story. I'll let you know when I know if it is definitely going to happen. First I just have to wait til it's morning in the UK and ask my boss if I can get a few more days off. Oh man...
NB: My blog is set to UK time, so it would appear from this entry that I'm breaking my Internet Curfew big style! But it's only Thursday 9.27PM here in New York so I'm keeping the dream alive, baby!

Oh, sorry you've been postponed (was looking forward to watching you on a day off), and good luck with the boss. At least you're going to be in country for MLK Day and The Inauguration. That's something!
Stay warm!

Girl, you NEED to get a DVR, it's the most fabulous thing in the world. It's one of those items that once you have it, you can never go back. And I have you reprogrammed in a flash!

I thought I missed it. I'm living in the dark ages so I manually set the VCR before leaving for work this morning only after I missed the first hour of the Early Show. I'll be sure to make it for the new date.
Does that mean you can go snowmobiling with us this weekend? If not, have a blast in NY and enjoy your extra days off (your boss has to agree, right? not like you can take a quick cab back home). Good luck!

I hope you enjoy your extra time in NYC :)

We once had an extra 24 hours in NY (after getting bounced by C*ntinental). Extra time in NY is the BEST THING EVER. Have a great time and good luck on the sho (you are so glam!).

Ah darling! How disappointing for you...so glad that wasn't your plane. Pilots and crew plus rescuers did a super job. So glad it worked out so well for them all.
...the boss will be fine, I'm sure (fingers crossed!) Enjoy NY - I would go and see so much if I was blessed with extra time.
Take care & love you lots

PS Any word on Basil?

I am not as technologically gifted as my daughter and did not think to check your blog to see if you were still going to be on The Early Show this morning. I got up and watched the entire 2 hours but suspected that your segment had gotten cut. I also was tivoing it for Jennette. I will faithfully go through the routine again on Wednesday. Hope you have a nice time while in New York! (Please notice that I did not sign my name in this box.)

OMG, my mom left you a comment! Hi, Mom!
I was just going to say, I hope you have fun with your extra vacation time. I'm just sorry it's so cold in my country right now. Also glad you didn't end up swimming in the Hudson on the way into town, though that might have given you great opportunity to promote your book. "Shauna Reid lost half her weight and then survived a plane crash! Buy her book!"

Let it be known that OTHER media outlets do not let planes in the Hudson or ridiculously cold weather get in the way of comprehensive interviews. But this may be because our host is an eccentric.

OMG, this still continues to be exciting. I am sorry you got bumped.

Oh good, I'll set my DVR. Got up early on my day off to watch you and sat through all two hours-no DG. But, hubby & I were delighted that everyone survived the plane crash. My mom asked me I knew "Sully" since he was a glider pilot. I told her no. But, someone we know probably knows someone who does. Turns out we're only 3 degrees away. One of our club members was in the Air Force Academy with Sully.
Hope your visit was fun.

Hello folks, thank you for the comments. Looks like it is happening on Wednesday.
I feel very honoured to have been visited by Pastaqueen's Mum :) Hello!
@Mothership - Basil is dead, I'm afraid. Did not respond to resuscitation!
