WIN! A month's supply of Total Greek Yoghurt + Zest magazine subscription - DG 11th Birthday Sell Out Day 6
January 25, 2012
The prize:
One lucky winner will receive a month's supply of Total Greek Yogurt plus a 12-month subscription to Zest magazine, courtesy of the Total Greek Yogurt folks.
Available to readers from: UK only. Sorry!
What the heck is it?
Total Greek Yoghurt is delicious, thick, creamy yoghurt that leaves all other yoghurts whimpering in the aisles, cursing their inferiority. This of course is just my opinion... dinnae sue me, hen. Zest magazine is a leading UK health and fitness magazine.
The lucky winner of this prize can linger over their magazine while enjoying the following yoghurt bonanza:
- 2 x 500g tubs of 2%
- 2 x 500g tubs of 0%
- 4 x 0% Greek Yoghurt Split pot (blueberry, honey, tropical fruits and strawberry)
- 1 kilo Classic Greek Yoghurt
Whoever you are, lucky winner, I am SPEWING with jealousy already.
(Total lasts for ages in the fridge so the winner should be able to get through it all, otherwise they can share it with your pals. Or me!)
Why I dig it
If you've been reading awhile you'll have heard me bang on and on about this yoghurt. My Greek goddess friend Argy introduced us in 2005 and the love affair has been going strong ever since.
It's more versatile than Meryl Streep:
- excellent sour cream substitute - dollop onto soup or chili
- great whipped cream substitute - love it in Healthier Eaton Mess or Nigella's Chocolate Berry Pavlova
- mind-blowing when blasted up with frozen berries to make Instant Frozen Yogurt
- lovely just with fresh fruit and/or a splodge of strong honey
Total have just launched a new website with lots of recipes and useful info from their TOTAL Living Team, consisting of TV Chef Paul Merrett, nutritionist Martin Macdonald and Daybreak Fitness expert Dee Thresher. They’ll be hosting live Q&A sessions, providing video content, recipes, meal and exercise plans, news and competitions. You can check it out at totalgreekyoghurt.com
There is one Greek Yoghurt + Zest prize to be won, courtesy of TOTAL Greek Yoghurt. Simply leave a comment on this blog entry to enter. If you're reading this post via an RSS feed, Facebook or Goodreads, you need to click through to the Dietgirl blog. Entries close Tuesday 31 January 2012 at 9PM GMT. Winners will be drawn at random. This has to be the BEST prize yet, yum, yum, yum! I need something to restore my Zest as I'm off sick with torn ankle ligaments.... Sounds so versatile I could probably rub it on my ankle!

Woohoo! Fage is the best, even the low fat isn't too bad (though why you wouldn't eat the proper one I don't know...)

OMFG! I will be saying a wee prayer to the Gods of Random Number Generators tonight in the hopes it will be me. I eat the 2% version every day. I put dried sour cherries in it and leave them to plump up overnight... MMMMMM....

17 · Posted by Hannah · January 25, 2012 at 01:39 PM
Oh my, this would basically feed me for a month! I put greek yoghurt on everything: in cereal to make it more creamy, on top of a hearty bowl of dal, with cake instead of ice-cream (only sometimes, though. Don't give me that side eye.) Ah, and standalone with a few blueberries and apricot compote. Then there is the matter of how greek yoghurt makes excellent bircher muesli...
18 · Posted by Zoe · January 25, 2012 at 01:47 PM
Ooooh, yes please! I love nothing more than some 0% and sweetener and fruit as my dessert. A months' worth would be greatly appreciated in this house!

22 · Posted by Leigh · January 25, 2012 at 02:16 PM
My only question is whether I *have* to spread it out over the month or if I can have a few days of giant dairy-splurging and just pretend it lasted a month?
23 · Posted by Sarah · January 25, 2012 at 02:24 PM
I love this yogurt! Had some this morning with blueberries and a cheeky bit of chocolate :) x

I have been reading (and loving) your blog for a couple of years now and even served you once in a shop in Edinburgh, but have been too shy to say hello - well no more! The thought of Greek Yoghurt and a Magazine subscription has brought out my courageous side and brought me out of hiding. Pick me RNG!

38 · Posted by Sara · January 25, 2012 at 09:39 PM
Well, I lost 8 stone after a gastric bypass, and what with the pre-op milk diet and lactose intolerance afterwards, I haven't had yogurt for a really long time. You've made it sound so yummy I'm going to get some even if I'm not randomly generated.

I'm in the UK! I can enter! Woo (I probably learned that from you)! Also, on a student budget. Imagine the savings. Fingers crossed, and toes too :)

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE this yogurt! Alas, I'm in the U.S. so I can't enter. Just had to comment because I love it do much, and I almost got turned off of Greek yogurt before I tried this one.

Currently suffering with an extremely painful tooth root abscess with further tooth surgery looming in the near future. Yoghurt is about all I can eat so I would get through this lot in record time and I'm sure it would bring a smile to my hideously swollen face!
47 · Posted by Alice · January 26, 2012 at 02:37 PM
I'm in for this along with my SIL (and bro) who live in London.
48 · Posted by Tamakikat · January 26, 2012 at 03:12 PM
I simply LOVE Total Greek yoghurt! How can a zero fat Yoghurt taste so thick and creamy?! It lasts for ages and is totally versatile! I've used it in sweet and savoury dishes at all times of day. Fingers crossed I'm lucky and win this, I'm making a great effort to lose weight and lead a healthier lifestyle this year!

I love this stuff! I used to buy it in the US at Trader Joe's where it was a more reasonable price. Here in the UK it's a bit pricey but so worth it as a treat. So good that I do worry that someday we will find out it's not actually fat free just like that Seinfeld episode....
